The Shuaa Al‑Fikr and Vision Organization, in collaboration with the Osratna Association for Children with Disabilities, the Brooq Foundation for Development and Rehabilitation, and the Taafi Organization for Child and Family, celebrated International Women’s Day under the theme “Breaking Bias.”
Ms. Saadia, Secretary‑General of the Osratna Association, spoke about the necessity of women’s participation in decision‑making and their involvement in grassroots work to identify their essential needs. She also highlighted the absence of a database for women in displacement areas.
Ms. Ikhlas Nimir, Executive Director of the Taafi Organization (a journalist and media professional), emphasized the importance of developing women’s skills in internet services so they can disseminate facts—referring to the role of investigative journalism and women’s participation in constitution‑making.
Shuaa Al‑Fikr Organization also presented a theatrical performance titled “Women Without Borders,” which received strong audience interaction.
The event also featured a performance by the “Free Dance” troupe.
Musician Imad Yousif, a member of the Executive Office of the Osratna Association for Children with Disabilities, performed a musical segment.
In conclusion, Ms. Lina, representing graduates of Ahfad University, stated that women are the first link and the first window through which generations begin to rise, and through whom people learn the morals and human values upon which societies and nations are built.
